It was sept 2, 2007, my husband mike and i carolyn had an amazing time, fixing up, our old house. The weather was amazing, at least 24 degrees C on a lot of days and 35 deg C of course when we decided to mow the 3 foot grass, but all fun in the end, you just have to drink a little more beer. The neighbours are amazing and so are the surrounding areas, including truro, the amazing tim hortons in debert, and masstown. Cant wait to get back in july.

I lived in Pennant in 1952-3. The family's name was Seimers. I remember painting the trees with white paint to stop the ants from climbing them. It was my Grandfather's job. He used to work on the railway. Now I'm 58 and was curious if anyone was around that time.

If you are interested in knowing more about the nice little town of Dresden, go visit
This is a small community with a lot of very nice people as well as a strong history.
If you come to see us, make sure to stop by Uncle Tom's Cabin, and take a stroll on the Trillium Trail.

In 1936, when I was age 9, my family from Illinois made a visit to Kindersly, SK, where my father had lived and worked 1910-1916. I recall that we crossed a big river by a ferry boat that was propelled by the current of the river, with no engine involved. The angle of the boat was adjusted by cables so that the current could propell the boat in either direction across the river.
I now have it figured that it could have been at either the Lancer Ferry or the Lemsford Ferry. I would be interested in knowing whether either of those ferrys was propelled in the way I have described - in 1936. If so, is the ferry still propelled in that way.
I have a picture of my mother, two brothers, and I with our 1936 Ford car on that ferry.

My family and I visited Port Morien the summer of 2006 and loved all we saw and those we met. My extended family lives in Morien and my children would have loved to stay. We live in a small town in Ontario similar to Morien everyone knows everyone. We sure did feel at home in Port Morien. My boys loved to fish on the warf once they figured out the warf was the dock.

this city stinks about snow removal as of today December 04, 2007.
Where where the snow removal crews?
Major streets like Laurier and especially Bernard where a disaster...
One poor truck wit a snow plow in between his legs dropping a bit of salt, was wandering around some streets to give an impression of activity...
Some preference seems to have been given to certain areas, some officials or other priviledged living there maybee ?
Bernard and Laurier St. for example, aren't those streets enough tax incom to satisfy your apetite to let them dry ???
Would it be possible that you are trying to save some money to be able to buy enough alcool to drown your upcomming christmas parties and following others...?
