Contributed by Hilding, an ePodunk user. November 13, 2007 I registered for the Quatsino Blog because several people from my homeplace here in Trysil, Norway were among those who first settled at Quatsino. I have read the story written by George Nordstrom about these first settlers and their struggle. It is extremely fascinating - and I would like to know more about their story and about the place.
I August 2008, we will arrange an emmigration reunioen here in Trysil - a meeting between descenders of Trysil emmigrants to USA/Canada. What a great happening it would be if somebody from Quatsino could come and tell the story.
You can follow information about the "Stevne" on our homepage: http://www.hig.no/hildings/Trysilstevne/index.htm
OR on the homepage for Trysil Historielag USA-Canada:
