Pros: Bilingual, friendly, close to both Northumberland Straight and the Bay of Fundy, has nearly all of the amenities of bigger cities.
Cons: Small city, not graced with very appealing geography, the casueway has destroyed the lower river and damaged the ecosystem.

Moncton is a city in Westmorland County, in the province of New Brunswick. It is on the Petitcodiac River.

The city was named for Robert Monckton, lieutenant-governor of Nova Scotia.

This is a bilingual city with a large Acadian population.
The Intercolonial Railway of Canada (IRC) was based here before being absorbed by the Canadian National Railways. Headquarters later moved to Toronto and then Montreal.
