2001 population: 3,932 (Source: Statistics Canada) Didsbury is a town in the province of Alberta. The town was named for a district of Manchester, England.
Dutch Mennonites, who had previously lived in Pennsylvania, were the area's first settlers, in the late 19th century.
In 1904, the Canadian Pacific Railway opened a station here.
