2001 population: 14,951 (Source: Statistics Canada) Dieppe is a town in Westmorland County, in the province of New Brunswick. It is The community was named for Dieppe, France. The town was named in 1946 after the World War II battle site in France where more than 800 Canadian soldiers died and nearly 2,000 were captured.
