"Port of the Privateers" Liverpool is in Queens County, in the province of Nova Scotia. It is at the mouth of the Mersey River.
Former and merged community names include:

Privateers - essentially government-authorized pirates - used Liverpool as a base to attack and capture enemy ships in the late 1700s and early 1800s.
