Brockton is A neighborhood of Toronto in the province of Ontario

The community is named for either Sir Isaac Brock, major-general in the War of 1812, or Captain James Brock, who was granted area land in 1812.
The community is bounded by Bloor Street West, Dufferin Street, Dundas Street West, and St. Helen's Avenue.
As a village, the community was incorporated in 1881. Three years later, it was annexed into the city of Toronto.
