2001 population: 39,263 (Source: Statistics Canada) "Ice Fishing Capital of Canada" Georgina is a town in the province of Ontario. It is on Lake Simcoe. Georgina was named for King George III.
The town was formed through the amalgamation of the townships of Georgina and North Gwillimbury, and the village of Sutton.
