Leaside is A neighborhood of Toronto in the province of Ontario

The neighbourhood takes its name from a home built by William Lea.

Former and merged community names include:

The community is roughly bounded by Eglinton Avenue, Laird Drive, Moore Park, and Bayview Avenue.
In 1967, Leaside and East York were combined to form the borough of East York.

In 1997, the borough of East York was amalgamated into Toronto.

Received national attention for the first air mail delivery in Canada, which was completed at the Leaside Aerodrome on June 24, 1918.
