2001 population: 109,016 (Source: Statistics Canada) Thunder Bay is a city in the province of Ontario. It is on Lake Superior.
The city was created in 1970 through the amalgamation of Fort William, Port Arthur and the townships of Neebing and McIntryre.
Ranked No. 9 among Canada's Best Cities for Business, by Canadian Business magazine, Sept-Oct 2005.
Well-known residents have included:
