Pluses: wonderful off-the main road place to visit.

Pluses: Fantastic Hospitality and beautiful scenery are what make this little map-blip a lovely little throughway or night stay. Access to Algonquin Park just 2 klicks away as well.
Minuses: Not enough people know about the area. A great place to... Enjoy the natural beauty of Ontario, and venture into Algonquin to see the meteor crator and take in some fresh air and relax. Other info: You can't travel from Ottawa to North Bay and not pass through! - kevntik

Pluses: quite little town beautifull scenery in summer with some nice trails 1 bieng the country road where residents have thier cabins too another is allong the waters edge in hearts delight

Pluses: X lives there,far away. Some good people in that town. Good geographical location to live.
Minuses: No jobs, nothing for the younger generation. Not good for shopping. To far to go to shop at the larger stores. A great place to... drive through Other info: the town council does not think of the people for growth for that town. Industry would definitely help out that town. It has been talked about for years but nothing ever happens to make the town grow except for retirees. Have to think of the younger generation for once. - snagalpus123456789

Pluses: I absolutley loved it in oxbow my family and i had the opportunity to move there for a few months , my husband accepted a job at saskarc last october but had to move back to ontario in april because there was no housing available, we were very disappointed because we all thought of oxbow as a great place to live

Pluses: The people are very friendly and It is a very quiet place to live

Pluses: This is a bicentenary village, founded in 1798. It is a place where families have quietly prospered, mainly from farming but also in business. It is a quintessential, sleepy village, peaceful and blessed with golden corn fields in summer. It has a Harvest Fair, Labour Day weekend or at least it did, the "Foire du Pont-Ch?teau", with a fairway, equestrian show, etc. It's close to more populated areas like Valleyfield. It's pretty much off the highway in a straight line. It has a good school. A community centre. Nice people.
Minuses: Trying to keep up with modernity. It got rid of a saloon-type hotel across from the church that had veranda upon veranda, and looked straight out of a Western movie. The church has to share its priest. A great place to... Pause, take a deep breath. - Lozange
