Pluses: A good Doctor. That's about it.
Minuses: Oxbow A great place to... Get out of. And not go back to. Other info: I lived there for 3 years, I left 8 years ago. The best thing I ever did. Most people are not friendly unless you are a money person,if you are they will kiss your ass. I'm not rich,drink like a fish, or do drugs so I didn't fit in at all. Drugs, OMG, all you want everywhere you look in that RATTHOLE of a so called town. I haven't been back and don't plan on going back there, avoid Oxbow at all costs. - Iceman
Pluses: There's a great church that really loves children and youth at the 108 - the only one at the 108 and the only interdenominational church in the area.
It is a great family oriented community with a wonderful elementary school! A supermarket and cafe offer excellent service and a gas station that is always at least a cent cheaper than anywhere else. A great place to... Rest and replenish - rlbarker

Pluses: Nice veiw, quiet place.
Minuses: very nosey people,alot of gossip and rumors ,especially at the bank and post office.people always asking about your buisness.the village counsel is are a bunch of idiots that couldn,t manage their hair let alone a community. - desade

Pluses: -close to historical sites of Fort Carlton and Batoche National Historic Site.
-amazing Interpretive Centre right on Hwy #11 A great place to... Live, visit and explore. We have lived in Duck Lake for 4 years now and we love it. Where else can you have a 5 acre lot in town? The people are friendly and very welcoming. The area is rich with culture and history. - ngauthier

I'd move there if I could find a job in my field in that genreal area HVAC Design/ Architectural Design. Amy Mizen lives there, I wonder if she is still single? Far from the GTA. Minuses: Too flat, needs a downtown reno, ie. cafe, tourist hole, etc. A great place to... Live and raise a family, go to Church in. - jbaldock

Pluses: This church was the parish my family came to from Ireland. James and Mary Doherty CARLING raised 9 children at Grenville. Most of the first Canadian generation is buried at Calumet Cemetery.
Minuses: No communication. I am searching for cemetery records. A repertoire was to be published but the volunteer staff must be non-existent. Funding is probably the problem. A great place to... Pluses: nice hospital with level 4 and 3 doctors and a nurse practioner, RCMP detachment,2 great schools plus a community college,large for recreation, skating arena,curling rink, bowling, swimming pool, heritage park, regional park, golf course,great place to raise a family or retire.
Minuses: jobs are limited but not impossible it is a farming community also has many trades but the closure of 2 mills is a definite downfall. A great place to... call home, fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, nature loving and all the amenities needed. Other info: Town of just under 2000 people, big enough to do your own thing but small enough to care. - creine

Other info: I was wondering something. Yesterday I saw a truck that had a name on the side. It was about something to do with choosing your own satellite dish . But the only thing I caught was that it had a 587 phone number. I was just looking to install one and wondered if you could help me with this please.
